After my previous post Sarika and I got talking and decided to go ahead with an Emily site after all wooh =) So here it is!
Is as scary as it sounds. I have to choose a topic I want to write 10,000 words on by next week. Most of you know my obsession on Anne Boleyn so of course she was my first choice but can I really write 10,000 words on this woman? And how the hell am I supposed to think of a good, legitimate question. Please kill me now. Why oh why did I go to university? …. Oh right yea because I love history :p
My timetable has worked out quite well for uni this semester, so I was thinking of a new site and when I saw emily-blunt.org on the adoption list for f-s.org I was thrilled but I guess I took to long thinking about it because its already gone. Whats that saying? “You snooze, ya loose”.
… is starting here tonight. Do I watch it or not? There is a pretty good drama on ITV at the same time so I’m tied between the two. I’ve heard it’s pretty good though and I need a new TV show to watch. Lost is back - yaaaaay, it confuses the hell outta me but I love it!
First day back at Uni today was pretty boring BUT my seminar tutor for the Reformation did mention the Tudors and poor old Archbishop Cranmer who stuffed his wife into a box and brought her over from Germany. I was the only fool who nodded her head when he asked if we watched it though *sigh*.
Well I didn’t really go anywhere but I’ve been MIA on this site since November!! Yikes, I’m such a bad personal site owner, I don’t know why I open them heh. Anyway I’ll try once again to keep this site semi active. I’ve recently obtained an addiction to Livejournal so you’ll mostly find me there.
Thanks to Natalie for helping me find a pretty theme, thats what mostsly bugs me about personal sites I can never get them to look nice, so thanks Nat!
Visit Kristen Stewart Web please
You wont regret it, its awesome! Thanks to Mycah for letting me jump on board!
Although this week started off pretty dismal I think it may end on a very high note. A little orange envelope filled with goodies turned this week into the best ever! About a month or so ago I plucked up the courage to write to Natalie D. For some reason I’d always been nervous about it and put it off. Yesterday after giving up hope I recieved a letter back!! She is the nicest person ever and I’m so glad that last November I went ahead with Admiring Natalie Dormer. I remember not being too sure about it, but damn am I glad I made it! Now Natalie herself visits it which is all I have ever wanted. So at the moment I am a very happy bunny.
Tomorrow I’m using my day off productively. On Monday my Medieval Tutor made me look like a fool in front of my class because I didn’t know that my village was famous for having a priory haha. Of course I knew about the priory, but when he asked me “So whats in burscough?” I (thinking i was being a little witty) replied “A canal?”. I dont think I need to say that he wasn’t too impressed, although the rest of the class laughed, not sure it was with me though :p. Anyway, tomorrow I am going to see the ruins of this famous priory. I intend to take lots of pictures to show him and hopefully win him over haha
Hans Matheson and Anne Marie Duff are my two favorite people at the moment. I loves them.
I go back to Uni on Monday and I’m scared shitless. I’ve been trying to get my head around ‘Cowardly’ King John, Henry III and the whole Magna Carta issue as well as reading about Charles I & II, James II and William and Mary *head desk*. That will teach me to have a stupid obsession with the English monarchy haha If only good Queen Bess had married and had lots of red haired Tudor babies, maybe those silly Stuarts wouldn’t have come to the throne.
Anyone any idea of any films / tv adaptions for Medieval England (1100’s to 1400’s)? (Braveheart doesn’t count, i love that film, but can’t handle the fact that it suggests Edward III was William Wallice’s son). I watched Charles II; The Power and The Passion as a bit of research for my Stuart era which was basically a documenty of how Charles managed to repopulate London with his 14 bastard children haha gotta love him. Anne Marie Duff was in it though <3
Eeewww I hate spiders, they are the worst thing in the world and one HUGE one just ran across my bedroom floor. So naturally, I screamed then squished it (sorry I know I shouldn’t of but my brother who usually gets them and dumps them outside was alseep). Anyway, after being squashed not once but TWICE it was still alive and running after me. The third time it wasn’t so lucky haha I really do hate them, I wont be able to sleep now :/
Before the whole spider incident I was watching the third installment of Lost in Austen (I thought it finished tonight, but apparently not, anyone know how many parts it has?). After enjoying last weeks episode, better than the first weeks, I am again at a total loss with this show. All the characters are just … crazy. Somebody please tell me what has happened to sweet and innocent Georgiana?! Not to mention Caroline Bingleys little “secret”. The liberties they have taken with the characters we all know and love are far too many in my opinion. They story was good enough - it didn’t need drastically changing like this show has done. However I looking forward to see how they wrap it all up. I wonder who Darcy will marry …
Gosh, its that time of year again when the amount of sites I have start to bother me. Some of them I love way to much and could never think of giving away, but there is two in particular that are troubling me.
Cate Blanchett Fan is the first. Although I adore Cate and love running the site, I’m not sure if it’s worth it. Despite trying to update regularly and spending loads of money on buying DVD’s I am getting, what seems like NO hits. So if no one is taking notice of all the stuff I’m adding why bother?
SarahWayneCallies.net is the second. In contrast this does get a quite a few hits, on average I get 521 visitors a day, which is great, but I’m just not sure my heart is in it anymore. I gave up on Prison Break when Sarah left and now that she’s coming back, I guess I’m not as excited as I should be. I just feel that if I give up now I will regret it when I get into the new season. Maybe I’ll just try and find a coweb …
Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen to Raspberry Crush, my new personal domain! I was very bored of the older domain and in truth I hated it thus Raspberry Crush was born. All credit to the Dulux paint website for the name. Thinking of a new one drove me up the wall, so I resorted to looking at the names of paint colors, and this one was my favorite.
Nothing is up yet, apart from what you see in front of you but I plan on getting a few pages up soon, as well as my design site which desperately needs to be revamped. So until then, adieu!
